Funko’s story begins in 1998 when Mike Becker founded the company with the dream of creating retro-style toys.
Their first big hit was the Bob’s Big Boy figure, inspired by the iconic character from the American hamburger chain. However, Funko’s true revolution came in 2010, when they launched their first Funko Pop! figures, a line of characters with big heads and black eyes that quickly became a worldwide phenomenon. Since then, they have released thousands of figures, covering characters from every universe you can imagine, from movies and series to video games, sports and more.
It’s amazing to think that millions of people have one or more of these figures in their homes, offices and even in their cars. Funko’s popularity continues to grow, and it’s becoming harder and harder to resist adding a new figure to the collection when they release a special or limited edition of our favorite characters.
